CHORUS MEMBERS QLEFT TO RIGHT J--FRONT ROW--Charleese Schmoker, Judy Britz, Jonie Boggan, Tami Schwarter, Mary Rodgers, Michell Moore, Cheryl Lambert, DeeDee Callendar, Tina Moore, SECOND ROW-- Ruth Hayes, Sherry Britz, Toni Hatch, Iodi Coulston, Jean Roper, Kim Samel, Debbie Morries, Linda Farrell, Kathleen Reynolds, THIRD ROW--Steve Ware, Kevin McCallie, Sharon johnson, Debbie Bacon, Jeri Howitt, Rex Richards, Dennis I-Iersha, BACK ROW--Tom Baldoni, joe Vario, Mark Drader, Bill Sharp, Bruce Compton, joel Roper, Fred Baker, Greg Weisbrich The Amity High School Chorus rated H51 at Banks High School in the yearly competition. They also sang at the Dairy Princess Banquet. At this performance they received an encore and a standing ovation. The chorus sang at the St. james and Amity Methodist churches where they were Well received. The chorus sang, too, at the Spring Concert and were welcomed by a large crowd. Mr. Cooper is now planning an additional class known as the JazzSwingChoir. This class will start in the fall and the members will be selected by Mr. Cooper. In addition to singers, a pianist, guitarist, and drummer will be chosen. Director - -Mr. Cooper 59

They performed at a Fall Music Concert, Christmas Concert and Spring Concert. In May, the band participated in the Yawama League Band Contest in Banks, and brought home a 2 plus grade. Three members of the band, Laura Morton, Tim Miller, and Robin Richards participated in the Music In May Concert at Pacific Uni- versity. Silk screen printing, calligraphy, batik, sand cast candles, and the hew potters wheel were favorites with the club. The Art Club sold self-screened Christmas cards, candles, paintings, and other things during the year. The money from these sales bought a gift of several pieces of equipment for the Art Department. The club was responsible for many projects around the school during the year. Their last proj ect was 500 hand-printed May Day program covers. MEMBERS AND ADVISOR-QLEFT TO RIGHT J--Molly Dejong, joDee Hatch, Debbie Hubbard, Dale Carter, Debbie Cooper, Cheryl Lambert, Denise Hersha, Sherry Britz, ON COUCH--Mrs. Curyea-Advisor Candy Stripers This year there were 14 Candy Stripers. All worked in either the hospital or the rest homes in McMinnville. All enjoyed the work they did and brought a bit of joy to the people they helped.
