This annual would not be com letc without mention ng our active Parent-Te chel organization To this association we re lHd9bt8d for many of tne improvements and advantages that we enjoy ln evidance today throughout the school plant are the results of its activities The realization of a school band w s first visualized and Jromoted by this group of parents and teachers When this was ac omplished, an energet c commit- tee solicited funds for ba ic instruments and attractive uni forms However, the greatest interest of the P T A has been in the physical welfare of children It has attempted to elim and proper food for many under privileged, it has secured nedical attention and vreventative medlcines Prior to the acquisition of state no federal funds this association spon sored an effective lunch room program The cultural development of the child has not been naglect- d A motion picture nrogector has given us the opportunity to view educational and recreational films The addition of grammar school library has aided in developing an interest in informative and leisure reading anong the younger pupils The Parish Library unit endorsed by this group has enriched both the youth and the adult The plan of a permanent recreational and community center originated in the association in Keeping with its policy of cooperating with other civic organizations, it has created a planning committee and raised a substantial fund toward the final prog ct P T A , we extend to you our hope for continued success I P.
