The Superintendent Fred R. Powers We all know our superintendent's merits. We know that he takes a personal interest in every pupil and that he works tirelessly to provide the hest educational opportunities for all. When we sing our high school song, we are really singing the praises of our superintendent, for Mr. Powers, by his many years of service as an efficient administrator, by his inspira- tion as a teacher, and by his sym- pathetic understanding as a counselor and friend, has built up a school of which we may well be proud. Serving as directors of this business are the members of the Board of Education, who give im- measurable time and thought to such duties as approving the school budget, recommending building repairs, hiring teachers, studying curriculum trends, and sponsoring athletics. Although these men do not gain extensive recognition for their efforts, we hope that they will receive some satisfaction from the realization that by their work with the children of today, they are helping to develop good citizens of tomorrow.
