Remember? SEPT. 61- And then the whining school boy . . . . creeping like a snail Unwillingly to school. What fun to meet the old gang after a summer of war work, farming, domestic toil, or loafing! We found three new teachers in our midst, among them Mr. Pincombe, who had returned after an absence of two years. lVliss Steele welcomed a large group of freshmen into the study hall, and we all settled ourselves in different seats and prepared to begin our labors. SEPT. 9iAlready the hall guards have found out that even in spite of Mrs. Eppley the junior high folks haven't learned that they should walk on every step. SEPT. l7-Prexy Smythe presented his candidate for president, Jake the Gremlin, at our first chapel. SEPT. l9--The Mixed Chorus started weekly rehearsals at the unearthly hour of 8:10 A. M. SEPT. 27-Was l nervous to be interviewed by the state inspector today! After inspecting the teaching, equipment, and special departments, Mr. Lou- thian of the State Department of Education, submitted a favorable report.
