Our A ' counselors strive to develop realistic goals in the students' minds, im- prove pupil adjustment, and help plan students' vocations. Each stu- dent in every grade is interviewed at least once during the year by his counselor. Students are Free to consult with the advisers whenever a need arises. The responsibility for carrying out this ambitious program rests with Mr. Donald Vlunson, our director of guidance. Mr. Schuchardt, with the assistance of Mr. Martin Kentner, works with the sopho- mores. Juniors and seniors are guided by Miss Carnahan and Mr. Pankovv respectively. Tvlrs. Arend and Mr. Kidd, Student Union di- rectors, also counsel part time. Business teacher Miss Nletz places students in jobs. Her alertness for symptoms as well as her box of Kleencx tissues has saved the day for many ot' us. She is respon- sible for the health records of every student. Dr. Joseph Sheedy, the school physician, gives us our annual physical examination. He also ad- ministers polio shots, tetanus boosters, and small- pox vaccines.
