She is always prepared for emergencies and takes upsets in her stride. As a regular duty, the school nurse keeps the school health records. Her yearly checks are a guard to the health of Am- herst students. I3 i Our congenial attendance officer, Mr. Alan Schaefer, manages all matters deal- ing with absentees. 'The most carefully laid out system can become jammed. The attendance officer straightens out such situations. In addition to his numerous attendance duties, Mr. Schaefer finds time to advise the Projection Crew and assist in coaching our football team.
