K IGHT 0F THE ROU D TABLE This year the Student Council split into a Junior High and a Senior High group. They have carried on separate projects throughout the year, and have com- bined on the charity drives, and other projects pertain- ing to the whole school. The council has been quite active, revising their constitution, publishing a new handbook, running a magazine drive and keeping students posted with their bulletin board in the stacks. Because of the magazine drive, this year we were able to help the school newspaper financially. The various committees on the council have been very busy. The Juke box committee, headed by Roger Nicholson, has taken care of the many Juke box re- pairs and the selection of new records. There was also a committee headed by Ted Springstead which studied cafeteria conditions. Nancy Sperry has done a good job on the constitution as chairman of the judicial committee. The Activities Committee was unavoid- ably detained and has set up some rules for future Activity Committees to follow, so that charters may be issued in the first few weeks of school. The chair- man of the Activities Committee was Mary Lou Hen- derson. Nancy Conn has been the capable editor of the handbook. Working just as hard on the council are the officers: Roy Fowler, president, Mary Lou Henderson, vice- fx.. x ',,' president, Carol Brown, secretary, and Paul Dahmer, treasurer. Our sponsor is Mr. Rosenberry and our ad- visor, Miss Carnahan. Without their guidance and advice the success of the Senior High Student Council would have been dubious. The biggest project which the Junior High Student Council faced this year was the construction of a Constitution, since the Council could not function properly until this was done. Audrey Miller was chair- man of the committee which had the constitution ready for ratification in May.- Other committees were the Activities Committee which arranged the first Junior High Christmas Party under the direction of Rocky Ford, and the Parlia- mentary Procedures Committee, headed by Marcia Lacke. The temporary ofiicers who have done a splendid job are: David Hegg, chairman, Marjorie Kremers secretary, and Audrey Hurd, treasurer. lil JU IOR HIGH Ist row: Miss Fitzgibbons, Carl Han- sen, Jim Grafton, Gary Smith, Sandra W'endt, Joy Hartke, Robin Askin, Mr. Blish. 2nd row: Marjean Eckhert, Glenna Joslyn, Evelyn Kolbe, Audrey Miller, Audrey Hurd, Ann Austin, John Harbison, Charles Pettis. 3rd row: Bill Bacon, Dick DuBois, Chris Lawson, Fred Manske, Dave Hegg, Rocky Ford, Marcia Lacke, Craig YN'ratten.
