INVESTMENTS Investments in the Ames High system fell slightly during the 1979 school year. The greatest loss came in the form of budget slashes, a result of taxpayers’ declining willingness | to Invest in the system. Unfortunately, fee-collecting programs were not able to compensate for the loss, meaning several programs and teachers had to be dropped.
