4 languages offered; lab provides oral-aural experience Students and teachers speak four different lan- guages at Ames High: French, Spanish, Latin, and German. This year there were classes up to fourth year in Spanish and French, and second year in German and Latin. Spanish classes celebrated Easter, Christmas, and Dia de los Muertos in the traditional manner of Latin America and Spain. Latin students studied the life and culture of the Romans. The German classes often sang old German folk songs.
