55GS! SBHZ Right: Pull harder, my friends! I A L S Offering sports for all boys not engaged in varsity competition, the intramural program is under the supervision of Mr. Smalling. Any boy who has not won a major in varsity com- petition is eligible to compete in the three classes. Trophies are awarded to the three class champions that are chosen by a point system. GAA: SPORTS FOR ALL GIRLS Providing an intramural program for Ames High girls, the Girls Athletic Association (GAA) worked to- ward developing play spirit and greater physical ef- ficiency. Every girl was invited to participate in one of the activities which included such sports as volley- ball, bowling, basketball, trampolining, and softball. Mrs. Carol Lockhart supervised the participating girls CABINET every Monday and Wednesday after school. Cabinet members this year were: Nancy Preston, president; Rosie Diehl, vice-president; Beth Strand, sec- retary-treasurer; Sandy Gowan, point recorder,- Pam Cole, intramural chairman; and Mary Dresser and Darla Hanlin, social chairmen.
