The American Bicentennial became an important theme for this year ' s ( acks. One of the most spectacular pro- grams of the year was a presenta- tion of Bicentennial costumes by these students. Also presented were a play and choral readings. This and other programs were expansions of their regular class- work. They utilized the theory of learning by doing .
