Bachilleres ' song was also one of prepararion. Many of the members of both the physics-math program and the humanities program would attend Universities in Monterrey. Others would stay to finish High School in order to go to the United States. And still others were pre- paring to be married. For everyone concerned it meant a heavy load, 12 to 14 subjects per semester. The refrains of slave driving teachers and flunked tests were in- cluded in their song. They will of course be remem- bered for the laughs and fun that they brought to the school, for their contributions to the EAGLE and HIGHLIGHTS! But for the most part they will be remembered for being themselves. That was truly part of the music they made. ■■Hk 22
