The students were selected by the ,faculty from t e e p - - The remaining students included were selected by popular vote of the student body. SPORTS M . Foor BALLA i Foot ball was taken up with 'great enthusiasm due to the wiay it was handled by our coach, Mr. Perry. This season, our team made a good record by holding second place in the Th' Lea ue was made up of several teams, among which were the Orsus, Preparato- League. is g - ria, I. T. I., Hipodromo and E. l. M. E. The winners of the League were the Preparatoria. . AMERICAN SCHOOL VS. BENITO JUAREZ Our team played very well this season, piling up a total score .of 54 points. The first u as layed at the Hacienda Field. This game, although our team was not working . 1 dl game f. p . . . , ' l lt d 'n a victory for our school, the score being 19 to 0. The line p aye very smooth y, resu e 1 , an extremely good game. The-scoring men were Arturo Vega, who made two touchdowns, and Francisco Cusi, who made one. A AMERICAN SCHOOL VS. HIPODROMO . . n ne thought and that was to win the game. The teams .were well matched and both played well. Our boys came very close to making touchdown several times. As the final whistle blew the score was 0 to 0. '- AMERICAN scHooL vs. PREPARATORIA Our team left the school onthe way to the Hacienda Field with only' o This game, which was played at the Stadium, was the only game we lost. The Prepara- toria outweighed our boys and were considerably faster than our team. Bill De Gress made a beautiful tackle which brought our score up from 0 to 2. Jose Gonzalez CChemaj played a very good game, trying to keel? up the spirit of the team when the Preparatoria had piled up a score of 26. The game ended after our team had done its best.
