C 0 M M E R C E- The commercial classes have continued to make splendid progress under the excellent supervision of Miss Dorothy Dinsmoore. VVhen School opened twenty-one students enrolled for shorthand and progressed steadily until the required speed of 90 Words a minute was attained. Gregg shorthand in Spanish was -taught .by Mrs, Banos to those who had completed the course in English. By the end -of the second term the students had acquired the speed of 90 words a minute and were able to Write correct' business letters in Spanish. Charles Chambers THE ORCHESTRA .. The Orchestra under the skillful direction of Miss Foster has accomplished much since the first of the school year. Their President, James Shirley, and their Secretary, liee Kocsis, have done much in the furtherance of their good Work. The orchestra iilays in the auditorium at all the school gatherings and their playing' is much admired by all the student body. They have given two programs in which numbers by the Whole orchestra were iplayed, and also solo numbers by some of the ineinbers. To attain this, however, they have worked hard, practicingg on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the school, with a general get together on Wednes- day afternoons. E H , .
