Early in the school year the class elections were held and class officers chosen were as follows: President, Jack Campbellg Vice President, Jamie Galbraith, Secretary, Ignacio Gomezg and Treasurer, William Duncan. The last day before the school closed for the Christmas holidays the Juniors gave 3 Christmas party in their class room. The room was decorated With Christmas decorations. Presents were piled high under the Christmas tree. 'The class was well represented in the field of sports by numerous boys. Our class presi- dent, Jack Campbell, was elected the most popular boy in school. Juanita Wliittlesev WON the prize offered to the girl, 'Cwho represents what is best in student lifew, and honorable mention for her prose poem. Betty Branch won the prize for diction and second prize in the essay ,contestg Mary Reid was awarded first prize in the essav contest. Harriet Sutherland won first prize with her short story and Louise Mead won second prize for short stories . As' the annual goes to press the .Junior class is planning a dance to be Given some time in April and the proceeds will be used for the Junior-Senior Banquet in Jilne, Most of the Juniors are old classmates, indeed, for they joined the group years ado 21115 ,H I a few even started together in the first grade, a fact of which they arte justlylproud. GLASS. The,Sophoinore class this year had members in many of the different clubs and orga- nizations. Among them We had seven Sophomores on the foot ball squad: Edward Thacker, Harry Wright, Robert Rovzar, Bob La Montagne, Hector Rivadeneyra, Jose Rivero, and Jose Covarrubias. On the basket ball team there were three: Albert Rivadeneyra, Hector Rivadeney- ra, and George Fernandez. Three -of our members: Wa,lter Taylor, Harry Wright, and Vllhitney Rider, were members of the Tuxis Square, and one: Joel Coverston, Was a Trail Ranger. W9 also had members in the Black Cat Club, the Condesa Club, the Chorus, and the Orchestra. The boys of the class took part in inter-class sports, basket ball, foot ball, and base ball. I At the mid-year our brightest members were passed on to the Junior Class, among them, Fred Nicholls, who had acted most efficiently as our treasurer during the fiI'rSf semester. ' We had two parties during the year. Our annual Christmas party was a great success. We exchanged presents and Were served refrehments. Our other party was a pic nic to'X0' EIUHUICO, HT Which We canoed, ate, got sunburned, hunted treasure, aiid had a regular good ime.
