This year, as usual, we will earn the most house points because of the superior intelle- ctual and physical development which so distinguishes us from our would-be opponents. But, have heart ye honorable Trojans and Spartansg there will always be next year. . .

Our scholastic achievements also helped strengthen our lead and by mid-year we had twice as many points as the second place house. The Trojans may also take to their credit the winning ofthe Food and Clothing Drive. lNith report cards, Field Day and Spring intramural sports ahead of us, however, we feel we are well on the way to our lirst house championship. VVC are especially indebted to our House sponsors for the assistance and encouragement which they have given us this year.

We have demonstrated this by winning Field Day for the third consecutive year. Spartans are first in leadership, scholarship and friendship. Many of our members hold both class and Student Council offices. The Spartans have their own cheerleading squad which is always on hand to boost the morale of the Spartan squads. Although we are trailing the other houses in total points, we are still strieving to win Hrst place. If spirit alone were the measure, we would be assured of victory.
