Counselors Read to Give Help Miss Minnie Feierabend Mr. M, L, Matherlv Senior Counselor AHS 0 20 Mrs. Nan Gibbs Sophomore Counselor Junior Counselor Miss Minnie Feierabend, senior conselor, is a former graduate of Amarillo high school. She was the first counselor in the Amarillo school system. Miss Feierabend has attended Mary-Hardin Baylor, Baylor University, University of Southern California and holds her B.A. and M.A. degrees. Mr. M. L. Matherly became junior counselor in the fall of 1960. He is a former head of the math depart- ment and was assistant principal in the 1940's. Mr. Matherly has attended East Texas State college and the University of Texas. He holds his B.S. and M.A. degrees. Sophomore counselor, Nan Gibbs, joined the AHS faculty in 1952. Mrs. Gibbs serves as treasurer for the School Activity fund. She has attended East Texas State, West Texas State, and the University of Colorado, and holds her B.S. and M.S. degrees.

Mrs. LaNel1 Hagemeier Mrs. Dot Beall Mrs. Murriel Crouch Secretaries Are id to School Mrs. LaNell Hagemeier, attendance official, checks up on all the absent students and prepares the reinstate- ment list every day. Mrs. Murriel Crouch also works in the attendance office and helps with the records of each individual student, which in- cludes information as whom to notify in case of emergency, and in which school district the child lives. The two attendance clerks issue passes to class for tardiness or absence, keep deten- tion, and submit a list of persons who have been truant. Registrar Mrs. Helen McCuan re- turned to Amarillo High in 1947 and has served as secretary and registrar since that time. Mrs. McCuan and assistant registrar, Mrs. Dot Beall, keep the school record of each student and keep records of all projects. This office takes care of the General Activ- ity fund. It is the office from which all college transcripts are sent, and the recommendations of the school. READY TO HELP-Mrs. Thomas Haynie, Dean of Girls, gives information to student on how to enroll. Miss Dillingham is also in charge of lnter- scholastic League writing and spelling contests. Mrs. Marion Schoen teaches English 41-42, she is also sponsor of the senior class. Mrs. Mary Collins teaches English 41-42. Mrs. Collins is the assistant sponsor of the senior class. Mrs. Norma Hogue instructs students in English 31-32. Mrs. Hogue attended We'st Texas State Col- lege. Mrs. Mary Conerly, teacher of English 31-32, is sponsor of the Allied Youth organization this year. Mrs. Revella Fullwood Mrs. Irene Hamilton Mrs. Mary Conerly Mrs. Norma Coats Mrs. Norma Coats is one of the new teachers, she teaches English 21-22. Mrs. Coats attended West Texas State college and Texas Tech. From these schools she holds her B.B.A. and M.E. degrees. Mrs. Revella Fullwood instructs classes in English 31-32. Mrs. Irene Hamilton is a teacher of sophomore English 21-22. Mrs. Hamilton is also head sponsor of the National Honor society. AHS 0 21
