IN MEMORIAM On May 22, 1936, Clyde Scott, a junior, died. He had endeared himself to his classmates by his winning personality, and to the student body as a whole by his excellent interpreta- tion of negro character parts. Though we have missed him this year, the memory of his droll humor and of his bright spirit remains with us. On February 26, 1937, O. A. Blankenship, a junior who was in school last year, died after a short illness. O. A.'s nature was shy and retiring, but he had many friends who remembered him for his lovable qualities. I-le had made for himself a place which no one else can fill. On April 23, 1937, Betty Alexander, a member of the senior class, died of phneumonia. Since she was ill only a few days, her friends were shocked to hear of her untimely death and their last days of school will be saddened because of her absence. She had a chnrniing personality and took a great i11terest in school life.
