James Dobbins, of Odessa, looks on to see if he can help. Jerry Manning and Jim Proctor and an unidentified Odessa player fight to keep the ball from going out of bounds. The Odessa team defeated the Badgers in both conference games. The second game by a score of 66 to Sl. “Let me have it, Jerry.”

HOWARD COUNTY. Moe Eddleman watches as two Howard County players fight to control the ball. . Jim Proctor jumps high to control the tip-off that opened an exciting game, one of the best seen in AC gym this year. The Badgers beat the Jayhawks in an overtime ball game by a score of 70 to 68, with Bobby Boyter scoring the winning points in the last six seconds of the ball game with two free shots. “A very tense moment.”

BASEBALT, 7 Because of a press deadline, this year’s baseball team could not be pictured, but the picture at the bottom of the page is the 1955-56 team which had a good year. There are high hopes for this year’s team to be made up mostly of freshmen. In the first picture, Herb Hill is at bat during a practice game. The second picture shows a “barely made it” landing. 141
