NEWM AN le UB The Newman Club of Amarillo College was organized in November, 1947, and is but a unit of the National Catholic organization, which is called the Newman Federation. The Purpose of the club, is to deepen the spiritual and enrich the temporal lives of its members through a balanced program of religious, intellectual, and social activities. The Amarillo College Newman Club was host to the annual South Central Provience Newman Club convention which was held in Amarillo, March 1, 2, 3, on Amarillo College campus. § REV. They work together in close Christian fellow- PEGGY NELSON ship and strive to build up better relations among the students and the faculty. Marita and Donnie give Mr. Ned Linegar, Area Repre- sentative for World University Service from Dallas, the check for Hungarian Relief. The money was raised by a Pie Supper with an open invitation to everyone. Highlighting the evening was the selection of a CRUMB KING QUEEN. The reign- ing king and queen were Annalee Campbell and Pat Patterson.
