In 1950, Mrs. W. W. DeVaney became sponsor. It has been one of the most socially active sororities in Amarillo College. Kappa Delta Chi pledges are presented at a formal Christmas dance. Other annual traditions are a fall tea, an Easter breakfast, and a spring coffee.
