It was Ama- dor's game all the way, as they con- tained the Chieftains to their smallest score of the year. Due to his hard playing game, Ray Calija was named lpgj Q2 Week. Oons take fmst loss Despite a gallant effort by the de- fense, Amador Dons could not contain the continual thrusts at the goal line by Del Valle and allowed two touchdowns to lose 14-6. The loss was the first for Amador as the Dons had tied in the season opener. The only touchdoum was in the third quarter when Rick Garibaldi chalked up 30 yards, on the option, pitched out to Ray Calija for 20 more, and took it over himself from 20 yards out. Del Valle 7 7 0 0--14 Amador 0 0 6 0-- 6 Coach Wilfley gives a little advice during the game. A Don runs out to intercept an Albany pass Cons thump Alamy We haven't lost to Albany in four years. We hope to make it five, said Coach Wilfley. And the Dons made it five with a 20-0 victory. Much of the credit goes to Quarterback Rick Garibaldi, who produced two touch- downs and one touchdown pass in the first half. With the return of Dave Newton from a previous injury, the Dons service set the pace and the Dons tore apart the field with a grand total of 206 yards gained.
