Homecoming -Qld and New Homecoming '83 carried out some old traditions: spirit week, a Saturday game, and a Saturday night dance and cor- onation. Some new twists were added this year, maybe the start of some more traditions. Each day of spirit week was set aside for a certain, somewhat unusual, attire. On Friday afternoon the students were dismissed early for fun and games. Class and organiza- tional skits were performed Fri- day night with the bonfire following them. Saturday the game with the Winola lets began at 1.0. The marching band and class attendants highlighted the halftime ac- tivities. Homecoming was climaxed with the dance on Saturday night. A new event this year was the Friday evening parade. The high school band, homecoming attendants, and class floats were exhibited in the parade. The football team and cheerleaders led the parade on the fire engine. The class floats, also a new attraction of homecoming, corresponded with the class themes. They were all very well done and helped boost morale. Top Picture: The senior painting that was displayed on the trophy case in the lobby. Middle Left: Tammy Schwart- zkopf and Mickey Price maneuver the obstacle course. Middle Right: Student council president, Iohn Rehn, an- nounces the schedule for the outdoor games. Bottom: Debbie Beck, Amy Engold, Candie Lang, Susan Bethel, Shelly Calhoun, Tracy Roman, and Mary Morland are dressed for punk rock and new wave day.
