Mrs. Fischer, Ron Barman and Shirley Bowman in a French conference. Even though we may never take part in a Cape Canaveral rocket test, we can still learn and apply our chemical and physical sciences that we learn here at AlWood. Under the watchful eyes of our calm and collected science teachers, we learn by experimenting and by the actual application of scientific theories. Mathematics may be the same old stuff, but at AlWood we have a shining new face, namely Mr. Kittelson's, to teach it. He always tries to present the same old math to the students in a very interesting way. This way we learn our math and enjoy it, too. Mr. Metzger teaches many freshmen and sophomores in his general math course. Mr. Minder initiates Jerry Swanson, Scott Lowery and Peggy Johnson into science.

His counseling and guidance service to the students, involving testing, interviewing and advising them as to suitable careers, is an important phase of his work. E. E.
