LOOKING AHEAD . The AlWood School District was established July 1 1948 Since that time there has been a continual growth in enrollment of our school population As a result of a thorough study by the Board of Education and the Citizens' Committee biulding plans for a new high school were formulated Since it is the responsibility of the people to provide educational facilities for their youth the people 1n the AlWood School District have given ample evidence of their interest by authorizing the build ing of a new high school The students and faculty are looking forward to the completion of the new building with a feeling of great pride and with deep appreciation to the citizens of the AlWood School District for their devoted 1nterest in providing these facilities E E Fischer Superintendent of Schools It 1S very gratifying to be associated with a school that is growing pass its own past achievements In a short t1rne the AlWood High School will find itself housed in a new building fitted out with the latest and best equipment designed to carry on educational activities All the fine buildings and equipment ever created however will not make a really fine school without a student body which will strive to make itself worthy of such an environ ment It 1B up to the students to match this physical plant with a vigorous determined resolve that they will never be satisfied with poor shoddy effort but will throw themselves into all school activities curricular and extra curricular in such a manner that no doubt will remain that they are doing their very best If this spirit of high level achievement is maintained in our student body the communities supporting our high school will feel amply well pa1d for the expenditures that they have made in their effort to provide the boys and girls of AlWood with adequate educational facilities Don Metzger Principal 11 O O and giving every promise of developing into an institution that will sur-
