T oooisiiswir lil55llllQEfZilID up Pottery is a Type of decorative or useful ware made of baked clay. IT includes dinnerware, vases, and other household items. The word pottery also means a factory that makes pottery products. The three major Types of pot- Tery are earthware, stoneware, and porcelain. Pot- Tery is classified according to The mixture of clays iT contains, and The Temperature affects both The appearance and if-QT strength. There are four basic steps in making pottery. First, The pot- ter selects and prepares The clay he wants to use. He shapes it. using either The coil, slab or mold method. After The clay dries, The potter may coat iT with a smooth glaze.
