Anticipated Rings Become a Reality AT LAST! . . . Juniors, Marlene Porreca and Sally Glausser, admire one another-'s rings after the ceremony. gl AT THE TOP OF THE CREST . . . Junior class vice-president, Karen Curtis, explains the history and significance of the class ring. There is no event in the life of a Junior that is antici- pated so eagerly as the Junior Ring Ceremony. Dur- ing this special progiani class officers explain the ring and the class Inottog then all sing the class song, after which the Juniors receive their rings. The Junior ring is a symbol of maturityg it pro- claims the wearer a full-fledged upperclassman. With this ring comes the responsibility of living up to the reputation and distinction of an upper- classman. A Nl W HAIL TO THEE . . . Junior class sings their class song in conclusion. THE GREEK CHORUS . . . Drama Club members perform an unusual type of drama, going back to the Greek chorusg Cammy Lynch Cleftj narrates. AND TI-IIE ACCOMPANIMENT . . . Freshman choral members perform for the Drama Club production of The Promise. Drama Club Stages The Promise' for Parents, Students Under the direction of Sister Joanne, the Drama Club presented a Christ- mas program Which incorporated interpretative dancing and choral speaking. The performance was a symbolic play depicting the pro- phecies from the Old Testament con- cerning the Nativity of Christ. The freshman glee club contributed to the success of The Promise which was given for the entire Student Body and for the parents and friends. THE DANCERS . . . Catherine. fabsent: Kathy Reinsch, secretary and Karen Birney, publicity chairmanj At the Alumnae Reunion in Dec- ember, graduates of Alverno had the opportunity to see one another and to compare notes on the colleges they attend and the jobs that they hold. The members attended a business meeting at which the officers presented the Constitution. During the afternoon, members wrote letters and sent greetings to their fellow graduates living in various religious communities across the country. AND BUSINESS, TOO . . .
