Serving as school secretary, Mrs. Barnett, performs many duties-from greeting tele- phone callers to duplicating senior transcripts. Mrs. Carlson, chairman of the Business Department prepares her students for future office Work. Her special displays are enlightening to those inter- ested in a career in the busi- ness World. VERY REV. NEIL PARSONS, CP Spiritual Director Faculty Has Varied Father Neil, Alverno's chaplain and spiritual adviser, is Rector of the Passionist Fathers' Monastery in Sierra Madre. Father Neil came to Sierra Madre from Christ the King' Retreat House in Sacramento. Through his capable counseling' and interest, he has become friend and confidante of the Alverno students. Coming' from historic Boston, Massa- chusetts, Miss Anderson teaches freshman history. Her teaching ex- perience in Newton South High School, an experimental school con- cerned With modern trends in edu- cation, has prepared her to adjust MISS MARY LOUISE ANDERSON World History Junior Red Cross easily to her new position. As sponsor of THE TROUBADOUR, her great concern is that the day- by-day events of student life are captured pictorially. A European traveler last summer was Miss Dowdy. She teaches tumbling, volleyball, basketball, baseball, and folk dancing. Mrs. Curtis, added another Euro- pean summer with its broadening influence to her long record of travel.
