THE SPIRIT OF FRANCIS . . . Third Order officers: C1 to rj Nancy Sanders, vice-prefectg Donna Schulz, prefectg Patti Soderberg, treasurerg and Toni Pulone, secretary, talk with moderator, Sister Annemarie. Third Order Promotes Franciscan Ideals Alverno's chapter of the Third Order of Saint Francis is an active organization carrying the Franciscan spirit throughout the school and the community. During the year A1verno's tertiaries took an active part in the programs planned by Sister Annemarie, Sister Marianne, and Father Rupert, OFM. In November the mem- bers participated in an interschool snow trip at Lake Gregoryg in December, the Third Order sponsored a Day of Recollection. During Christmas vacation the members decorated the homes of needy families and elderly people. An Experience in Christian Joy was the theme of the retreat held in March. MASS AND HYMNS . . . Third Order members attend Mass at the day of rec- ollection held at Alverno in December.
