VOCATIONAL CARPENTRY CLASSES began building another six-room residence at the beginning of fall term. Construction meets FHA standards. EDUCATION THROUGH EXPERIENCE and technical training is emphasized in Auto Mechanics classes. Mike Howeth and Larry Jones repair an automobile engine for a departmental customer. MARTHA TRANSFER Petra Linares became office assistant for Neighborhood Youth Corps district headquarters soon after enrollment at AH$. New students are given opportunity to participate in all phases of school. AGRICULTURAL PROJECTS are a major part of the curriculum for Future Farmers of America Rex, Chris, and David Cole received highest state fair awards in small grains entries.

Graduates may go to work immediately, or use their train- ing while attending college or tech school. 4 COMMERCIAL sewing, added this year, opened job opportunities for girls. DISTRIBUTIVE EDUCATION, providing paid experience in retailing and marketing, was established eight years ago at AHS. Pauleen Hoehmen sells Kim Pequignot the required sophomore novel, A Tale of Two Cities, from the D.E. book store.
