As the Mid-ccntnrians marched on- ward through the last year of their high school career, thev took time out from the academic side of life to enjoy the lighter so- cial life. Following the installation of their class officers, the class sponsored a Hal- lowe'en Dance. and later in April, held the lirst Sock Hop. The seniors were conspicuous in all the school activities. Seniors took the majority ol' the parts in the English Department Plav and other dramatic presentations. Thev sold heanics to help boost school spirit. Most of the A Cappella choir was comprised of seniors. and it was the upper classlnen who comprised over half of the cast of the Annual Show. The class of 1950 prcdominatecl on the gridiron as Well as on the haskethall floor. and their weight help- ed to shape and estahlish the policies of the sehool through their representation in stn- dent government. The Mid-centnrians marched ont of school historv in the late spring. There was the Senior Banquet, the music and dancing at the Senior Prom, the final exams, the Baccalaureate. the Cornmencement- then it was all over. Thus the Mid-centniw ians fell ont of the A. ll. parade in order to join the other parades of life after high school with new goals, new friends. and many pleasant memories. 21 The Senior Class Seated--W.
