Nliss Kathryn Bloomfield The Senate As every parade is forming there are certain peo- ple called marshals who direct each procedure and maintain general order. Our Senate is like a body of these marshals. It is composed of twenty-tive mem- bers representing each phase of high school life. As each class enters high school, they elect four of their members to represent their class in the Senate during their high school career. Representatives from every major organization in the school complete the group. These members meet during the activity period to discuss school problems and activities. Under the sponsorship of Miss Kathryn Bloomfield. the Senate led our school triumphantly through the trying days of the evaluation, in addition to their usual activities of planning homeroom programs. settling school problems, making and enforcing school laws, and sponsoring various programs throught the school. This spring a special committee was chosen by the Senate to study the problem of assembly conduct. As a result the students became more Willing to co- operate with the entertainers who presented their talents in the high school auditorium. 20
