Paul R Reynolds President THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS The Board of Directors of the School D1StF1Ct of the Clty of Altoona is composed of nine members all c1t1zens of the C1ty of Altoona and elected to their office by the electors of the City The Board s authority and acts are governed by the Constitu t1on and Laws of the Common wealth of Pennsylvania com monly known as the School Laws of Pennsylvania The School D1StF1Ct of the City of Altoona is a Second Class School D1str1ct as defined by the School Code Duties of the Board are many and varied It IS the duty of the Board to establish equip fur nlsh maintain and operate a sufficient number of school buildings to educate every person residing in the School District between the ages of six and twenty-one years of age.
