The senior dance, held on Friday, February 20, Was appropriately called a George Washington dance. N Miss Renetta Heiss Student Government at Its Best The Student Senate tries to maintain that perfect balance and clear beam. It throws the spotlight on weak points in student affairs and then launches an improvement program, it lends assis- tance in many activities which concern students and parents. This organization is made up of rep- resentatives of each class, who are se- lected in their sophomore year to serve for their three years in high school. At the convention of the Student Senates of the State of Pennsylvania, Altoona was elected president for the school year 1948-1949. This high honor is greatly appreciated by our school. In the fall of 1948, Altoona High School will entertain the Student Senates of Pennsylvania for their annual conven- tion. The Student Senate is under the able direction of Miss Renetta Heiss.
