A Challenge for Enduring Peace Principal The challenge of the future is to achieve the real art of living together. Graduation from our high school should mean that you have acquired such attitudes toward your fellowmen that you would strive to live with them harmoniously, helpfully, and con- structively. This world, torn with strife and misunderstanding, needs cit- izens with a capacity for self-direction, a sense of personal and civic duty. We need a generation with clear vision and undaunted determination to search for the truth. The enduring peace that the world is so eagerly seeking must be erected on the foundation of character, truth, and understanding. We hope that, in your experiences in the Altoona High School, you have acquired not only the ability but also the urge to make your contribution in the establishment of a better World in which to live - a world in which each individual can experience true freedom and the opportunity to achieve to the limit of his capacity.
