Black History Week Trust Trust in thyself as you would trust in they lord Trust in thy name and believe the world will change Trust in me as if I were thy own brother. Trust my words for they'll always be true Trust yourself to be a better person, to know and see All the things that will come to thee Know trust as trust might be true. Know trust your life might start off new. Written By: Sanford McMurray Jr. February is Black History Month. Alton High set aside a week of activities concerning famous blacks ending with an assembly on Friday of that week. The assembly was titled the Ebony Awards and was conducted as an award ceremony. Mark North, and Dionne McClain talked about some of the famous blacks in Politics, Military Services, and Civil Rights. Many other fields were also discussed. Other students worked very hard with Ms. McGee to make it a success. We would like to thank all of the participants. Black History Week — 7
