It is of utmost importance that we continue to recognize and give special attention to the in- dividual needs of all students as early as possible in our educational programs. The school must adjust the curriculum to the learner rather than the learner to the curriculum. MR. MACY PRUITT, Administrative Assistant in charge of Junior and Senior High School Curri- culum. At the close of school a few years ago a first grade pupil overheard a kindergarten pupil boasting about his promotion. He tried to deflate the kindergartener ' s ego by saying, ' You ' ll find first grade work mighty rough! ' It was ' rough ' compared with the previous year ' s work. But the record shows that the kin- dergarten pupil continued to make excellent grades. He can do the same each succeeding year in school and on the job in business or industry. It is a rule of life that finishing the lesser tasks prepares us for the greater ones.
