OO In The Beginning Like a country boy in a big city, the SOPHOMORES pass through the doors and walk the halls of senior high. It's all new as a Christ- mas present, and a rude shock to be dripped from the smug heights of the ninth grade to the basement floor of a lowest- classman. The awesome senior is Prince to the sophomore's Pauper. After a while, assignments, book reports, and tests break them into the new routine. They're filling their part in school life and rolling along as if they'cl been here all the time. And believe them, they're kept hopping. On every hand are clubs to join, popcorn and cokes to sell, and assemblies to watch. The world spins fast for them: but in truth they're generally in front waiting for it to catch up, not getting dizzy. The new adventure into senior high is an exciting one . . . and fun. There are many times, good and bad, in the road ahead, and someday . . . some way, the humble sophomores will find them- selves dignified seniors.
