A metal box containing the following items is placed in the cornerstone: a resolution of Clin Foundation authorizing the build- ing of the school, a copy of the an- nouncement of the gift, copy of the edi- torial concerning F, W. Olin from the Alton Evening Telegraph, a list of the names of the students expressing their thanks to Mr. Olin for the gift, a list of the Directors of the Foundation, a copy of the program of the laying of the cornerstone, a list of the contrac- tors. a copy of the invitation for the laying of the cornerstone, Alton Public School Directory, and a copy of the National Apprenticeship Program. Vocational-Industrial Education Comes To Alton High Members of the Board of Education administrative staff and architect make an inspection of the new building in an early phase of its construction
