Students Become One One of the most important activities of a Catholic School is celebrating the faith. Althoff often shares together in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. The Opening School Mass extends a warm welcome back for both students and faculty. Also, both the students and faculty gather together for a Thanksgiving mass. Many special occasions center around the mass, including the Freshman — Mother Mass early in the year, the Senior — Parents Mass in May, and the new Class Masses held throughout the year. Most holidays and important events are celebrated this way. Always the Althoff family participates together to share this important aspect of school life. The chorus and band members provide beautiful music, while students and faculty members do the readings, offertory, and assisting. By celebrating and rejoicing together, the Althoff community succeeds in bringing themselves closer to each other and, more importantly, to the Lord. Sr. Olivia distributes the Eucharist to Beth. The Althoff family celebrates together. Students attentively listen to the homily. Students partake of the Body of Christ. 13
