The years- since that tragic event have sped by, but our remembrance of her shall be forever fresh. We recall with sadness and yet with pleasure her shy humor, her sincere interest in everyone around her, and, above all, her love and loyalty for her family, her friends, and her school. There will be a vacancy in that file of blue caps and gowns on graduation night, but in each of our hearts will be a warm glow as we cherish the memory of one so forever dear to us all. The Senior Class

SUPERINTENDENTS MESSAGE Hundreds of American men killed inlndia or Burma during World War II are buried in an allied cemetery in North Assam. Over the gate to the cemetery are these words, Tell them that we gave our todays for their to- morrows. No senior who leaves this school should be content that his tomorrows shall be no better than his todays. The world is waiting with open arms for those who would accept responsibilities. These are the persons who stand out from the others in an office, a factory, or in any walk of life, and he is the one who gets ahead. The successful person is one who gives himself to his work, body and soul. l-low many times a person has given up when a little more effort, a little more patience would have achieved success. Elbert Hubbard has said There is no failure except in no longer trying. There is no defeat except from within, no really insurmountable barrier save our own inherent weakness of purpose. I challenge you to make your tomorrows count for something in the days that lie ahead of you. PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE Students of Altheimer High School are quite fortu- nate in being able to attain the quality of education that they do in so small a school. This offers them the ad- vantages academically of the larger schools and socially ll of the smaller ones. 5, I am quite certain this school will maintain the g-4.5 l steady improvement it has shown the past few years. s......s QQ It has been a pleasure working with you. af
