AHS Graduate Teaches With Her Former Instructors The Mathematics Department of Altavista has introduced accelerated courses in the last two years, due to a new series of text books. Though the strain of getting used to a new system has been hard on both the students and teachers, they've borne up with flying colors. In the scene pictured here, we've caught our three teachers in some of the routines in putting one of the three R's across. Mrs. Carper and Mrs. Moorman taught Miss Newman math during her high school years. Miss Newman is a recent A.H.S. graduate and it is her first year of teaching. Miss Newman queries, ‘Come on now! Can't you do better than that? ' Below she checks a bulletin board. Distributive Education | Emphasized by Business Classes Two new teachers, Mrs. Drumheller and Mr. Flora, joined our business education staff this year. They provide, along with Miss Wallace and Mr. Dodson, capable training for those students interested in careers or further education in the economic field.
