SEIIIURS A V Senior Class H1StOPy In September of l9h9, thirteen fresh men enrolled in Alta Vista Hlgh School. we were lnitiated and entertalned by the sophomores at the nCh1cken Fry' which was held at the school house On Thursday nlght we attended the nGet Acqualnted Party' given by the seniors at the clty park After these highlightlng experiences we settled down to buslness we elected these offlcers Dennis Jacobs, president, Dean Spittles, vice president, Twila Houser, treasurer, Doris Dugan, secretary, ana Lols wehmeier, representative We had lots of fun durlng our first year of high school with Mrs Skinner as our helpful sponsor Roll call for our sophomore year was in September, 1950 During the summer vacation we lost Lois Uehmeier :ho moved to Cheney, Kansas, and Carol Thornberry who moved to Galena, Kansas 11th Coach Riechart as our sponsor, we elected Dennis Jacobs, presldent, Dean Spittles, vice president, DOP1S Dugan, secretary, Emma Jean Barber, treasurer and John MacArttur, representative Ne were hosts at a nCk1cken Fry' given for the freshmen 1n September and our sophomore year was brlghtened further by nTacky Day ln April In the afternoon we went to Councll Grove Lake for a welner roast and attended the show Harve at Councll Grov ln the venln rea., .fQ.4,M Y S 6 S 11' ZJAJJWL EJ 7-Ayww .aeiaafxfwaa

In 1952, we entered old A V H S as if dignlfied senlors we now numbered ten E A4 having lost Ida May and Evelena Stapleton 544, 74453 who moved to Eskrldge Dennis Jacobs, PPSS A6 ident, Dean Spittles, vice president, Doris Dugan, secretary, Em a Jean Barber, treas urergand Galen Srlth, representatlve were elected class 0ff1C6PS ln the class election. Nr Chlnn was our sponsor durlng our senior term we presented our senior play in the spr1ng wlth Mrs Lafferty directing us April, the junlors entertained us to the junlor enlor banquet We all enjoyed our senior trip very much Baccalaureate, class night, and com mencement left us wlth a feeling of success and happiness As we leave dear old A.
