Involved in all sports from football to gymnastics, letterpeople work hard all year to win for themselves the ever-coveted A jackets, letters, and pins representing each task completed. Alta hit an alltime high for letter people this year with a list that went right off the page. Two sportspeople that haven’t been well recognized for their efforts are Michelle Lambert and Mike Pratt. They are the only representa- tives form Alta involved in water- sports. Michelle swims everday with the Cottonwood High team, and her hard work has paid off. As the only swimmer from the school. Michelle placed an exceptional twentieth in the state competition. Mike dives three days a week to perfect his form for competition. His coach. Kurt Warnke, is widely known as a competitive diver, and pushes Mike to do his best. It’s not that hard, said Mike. “I’m having a blast and that’s all that counts.” Michelle Lambert, swm team letterwoman. takes a second to txeathe as she preapres herself for State competition Unafraid of dangers below. Alla diver. Mike Pratt executes perfect form. 60 Letter People
