Methodically thinking, Adrienne Jones ponders that special guy. Shelly Egbert There s a time when we must emerge from the security of childhood and enter high school. High school can be threat- ening and intimidating. Dealing with a larger and older population can make a freshman feel minute and alone. In order to be accepted, freshmen must learn how to act like typical high school students. They’re forced to grow up and gain a new sense of responsibil- ity. We have to promote school spirit, show pride, and attend all school activi- ties, said Pat Howells. Michael Park feels that, If you act like a freshman people will know you’re a freshman and they’ll pick on you. If you don’t act like one you’re fine.” Once you get into high school there are tons of older peo- ple and ideas. You have to try and act like upper classmen, stated Sarah Kimball. Brandon Tullis said, Officers help with the activities that student gov- ernment sponsors, do whatever Marci says and do it good!” 166 Freshmen
