The Good Old Days O With only one year of school left to go. many Juniors have found themselves reminiscing about their elemen- tary school days. Memorable experiences range from fighting and romantic conquests to most embarrassing moments. And many look back with relief that the “good old days”, those beginning years of their educa- tion are long past. Playing kissing tag is a vivid memory of many Juniors. Countless recesses were filled with this invigorating game. I was always the slowest runner in kissing tag.” she says, “-it was great! remembers Jadi Silcox Romance also ran ramped in other forms. In 4th grade. recalls Laura Crossetti, a boy came up to me. got down on his knees and told me that he loved me. Often student resorted to violence to make them- selves respected and well liked among their peers. I attacked my fifth grade teacher with erasers because he was teasing me about this girl I liked. says Shem VanderVeur. I got in a fight in 2nd grade and my teacher made me write ’I will be nice in school'100 times.” says Michelle Higbee. Grant Rust always got the friends he wanted in elementary school. I remem- ber throwing rocks at Timmy Sanders and then becom- ing his best friend after he got fifteen stitches from a brick I thew. Elementary school is filled with a great abundance of opportunities for one to make a fool of oneself. Many Juniors jumped at the chance of making numerous em- barrassing moments to look back upon. “ I was walking down the hall and this boy came up to me, pulled down his pants and chased me down the hall. remembers Jane Bradley. Jodi Johnson recalls very vividly an ex- tremely humbling experience. I was a lunch worker, serving potatoes and all of the sudden. I wet my pants and the lunch lady sent me home to change. Reguardless of those past experiences, the class of '88 was well on their way to creating new memories of its own. Jennifer Frandsen responds to Byron Carter's sour facial expression. “Be a man!
