Raising School Spirit AWA Alta Women’s Association spon- sored Women’s Week, and Prefer- ence to promote spirit and give a sense of pride. AWA’s slogan, “Woman ... God’s gift to man”, was printed on sweatshirts and pro- moted a friendly competition be- tween the sexes. MASH Winning isn’t everything; it’s the only thing.’’ The active slogan of the Men’s Association of Spirited Hawks revealed an attitude of competition in social, academic, and athletic en- deavors. Along with making a Home- coming float and banner for spirit week. MASH offers activities “For Men Only” during Men's Week. CHEERLEADERS Attempting to raise school spirit, the Cheerleader Songleader goal was to get the student body involved in various activities. With the sole purpose of aggrandizing school pride, activities were promoted by the spiritleaders. The cheerleaders practiced every day during the school year, and throughout the summer. Not every student was high- ly spirited, but the cheerleaders set out to make every student an avid school participant who acquired a new sense of pride in his school.
