Last summer, starting the last week of July from 7:30 a.m. • 10:30 a.m., and then after school from 3:30 p.m. 6:30 p.m., the marching band held practices, which were sometimes extremely frustrating, especial- ly for the fifty-seven freshmen learning how to march for the first time. When asked how it was, one freshman could only answer ugh! When asked how it had been to be a member of the marching band this year, Freshman Joel Johnson said, It’s been a pretty good year because I’ve only been sworn at a few times. The band members were willing to exert the hard work and dedication needed to be champi- ons.
