Preparation for the annual began in June at the State University of Iowa. Here a Pub- lications Conference was held. It was attend- ed by Sanclra Braley and Deanna Brechwald, our editor. When school started our Co-editors. Busi- ness Manager, and Section Heads were chosen. After this we began work which in- cluded: selling advertisements, selling an- nuals, taking annual pictures and selling them, and the hard work of planning the an- nual. Help in planning the annual was given at the Year Book Clinic in Storm Lake. This conference was attended by Mary Ann Jen- sen, Deanna Brechwald, Dennis Brechwald, Larry Peterson, Carol Radke, and Mr. Fuller. Laying out the annual was next. This meant long hours and hard work. As some of the staff members, who have worked from 7130 in the morning until 6:30, know very well. There were also night meetings in which we worked. This year we had Junior editors who will take over next year. Thev are: Robert Kind- wall, Roger Peterson, Judy Brown, Kathryn Sievert, Lynette Mordick and Jane Dreier. Through the efforts of the 41 members of the Annual Staff and Mr. Fuller the all- nual was finally completed, me f rr-- Mary Ann Jensen fAssistant Editorl, Deanna Brechwald 1Editor1, Dennis Brech- wald rArt Editorr, Dean Peters 1Assistant Editorl, Carol Radke 4Business Managerl Front row: Robert Kindwall 4Junior Editorr, Roger Peterson 1Junior Editorl, Dennis Brechwald lArt Editorr, Mary Jensen lAssistant Editorr, Deanna Brechwald 1Editorl, Dean Peters :Assistant Editorl, Carol Radke 1Business Managerl, Judy Brown 4Junlor Edltorl, Lynette Mordick :Junior Editorr, Kathryn Sievert 4Junior Editorl, Jane Dreier lJunior Editor! Picnics for 8th Grade girls, Skating Parties, and of course the individ- ual business meetings. All ol these things have been done this last year. Their success is credited to Miss Kundel, our advisor. Miss Kundel is a 1956 graduate of Iowa State College of Ames. This year we also had a represntative at National Convention in Chicago. This was Jacque Otto, who brought back many helpful ideas for our club. Mary Louise Otto was elected the first President of our district. She along with our new president and vice-president, Jacque Otto and Sandra Svendsen, attended State FHA Con- vention at Ames. Our Chapter also entertained the Newell girls, who are starting a new chapter in their school. We are looking forward to even greater accomplish- ments next year. 6 Flifufg Dwells CHRISTMAS DANCE
