They were on their long journey to Omaha by 5:00 A.M. Upon reaching the half-way point at Denison they stopped for a much needed stretch. They arrived at their destination about 8:45 A.M. The first thing on their agenda for the day was a visit to the Union Pacific Railroad Museum. The museum contained many relics of Abraham Lincoln. After the visit to the museum, the rest of the morning was spent at their leisure, shopping and riding the escalators. A fine noon meal was served for them at the Brandeis Department Store. After lunch they left for the Joslyn Memo- i . Q pn. Rua, 'J :vnu ' wi' f i X ,gsm asset q :?p3 rial Art Museum. First they saw the beautiful Egyptian fountain in the center of the reception room. The museum afforded them many memora- ble happenings and even a few laughs. Their next stop was Boys' Town, which the girls especially enjoyed. They were taken on a tour of the Trade Building, the Field House, and the church where Father Flannigan was laid to rest. From the bus they saw the rest of the buildings of Boys' Town. Their last stop was Omaha Municipal Airport. While 16 of the more daring Seniors had the pleas- ure and thrill of riding in an airplane, the rest watched the big United and Braniff passenger planes take off and land. About 7:00 P.M. the tired Seniors and their sponsor, Mr. Hammond, boarded the bus for the long journey home. A stop for supper was made at Missouri Valley. To pass the time some of the boys played cards, while others told spook stories and tried to keep warm by using paper as a blan- ket. Around 11 P.M. Alta was sighted, and more memories had been added to the Seniors already full treasure box. SPONSORED BY ALTA BEAUTY OPERATORS Cox's Beauty Shop - Strom's Beauty Shop - Johnson's Beauty Shop
